ZONABANTEN.com – Star researchers managed to witness a star explosion in real time for the first time.
In the study seen a star that exploded in a fiery supernova. This was apparently more explosive than what researchers had previously thought.
According to a new study in the journal astrophysics published January 6, researchers have seen the dying star 100 years before this cataclysmic collapse.

During the study, the researchers saw a star continuously erupting and producing flashes of light, as large clumps of gas burst out from the star’s surface.
This star is a red giant named SN 2020tlf, which is about 120 million light years from Earth.
This super powerful explosion was a huge shock to researchers. This is because previous observations have shown no trace of brutal emissions.
“This is a breakthrough in our understanding of what massive stars do moments before they die. For the first time, we witnessed a red supergiant star exploding!said study lead author Wynn Jacobson-Galan, a researcher at the University of California, Berkeley.***
