The Game Awards are in the starting blocks and there will be a lot crammed into the two hour event if you can Geoff Keighleys Can believe promises. Not only the awards themselves, of which there are 30, will be there but also a whole host of very special revelations. Apparently one of these has been two and a half years in development now, which has got people hoping for something that will turn out to be Zelda – Breath of the Wild 2 or maybe even on GTA 6 relates.

Sonic is guaranteed to have a strong presence too, as rumors are circulating that Sonic Frontiers will be officially unveiled on Thursday evening. In addition, the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 debut at The Game Awards. The news was confirmed on Twitter along with the very first poster for the sequel.

The poster is inspired by the video game of the same name and shows Sonic and Tails running away from Robotnik in an airplane. Sonic and Tails fly a very similar plane in the Sky Chase Zone of Sonic 2 on the Sega Mega Drive. The poster also shows Jim Carrey’s Robotnik in a far more traditional mode of transport than in the first film.

Notable for his absence from the poster is Knuckles. beginning of the year confirmed Idris Elba |that he will speak Knuckles in the sequel. How exactly Knuckles will look in the film remains unknown for the time being, but that should change as soon as the trailer is released tomorrow night The Game Awards will be shown. I hope you have Paramount and Sega Learned their lesson after the disastrous reveal of Sonic and give the other characters a look to match as well. They did well on the first attempt at Tails ‘design and also hired the games’ voice actor for the role. Cross your fingers that Knuckles looks just as good.
