Al-Ahly’s mission came negative after its arrival in Qatar in preparation for facing Morocco’s Raja in the African Super Cup on Wednesday.
On Saturday morning, defender Mahmoud Metwally went to the Aspire Medical Center to undergo thorough examinations, according to Al-Ahly website.
Metwally was injured in the adductor muscle during the friendly match between the Vanguards of the Army, and Al-Ahly is seeking to prepare him to face Raja.
Al-Ahly will play against Al-Rajaa in Qatar at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.
Al-Ahly seeks to crown the title for the second time in a row and for the eighth time in its history.
The Super is taking place in Qatar for the fourth time in a row, and last May Al-Ahly crowned it at the expense of the Moroccan Berkane Renaissance.
