Explanation for vaccination side effect found

The underlying pathomechanism has not yet been elucidated. Some suspected that it could be hypersensitivity myocarditis, which can occur as a side effect of certain medications, or that an above-average production of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies could be the trigger. Based on their results, the authors of the study, which was published in the journal Science Immunology, now declare both to be unlikely.
