[EN VIDÉO] An angry man interrupts the press briefing of the new director of the SPVM

While he had just taken the floor for his official presentation, the new director of the Service de police de la Ville Montréal (SPVM), Fady Dagher, was interrupted by an angry citizen.

“The Montreal police do not arrest municipal employees who commit crimes,” said the man who had taken his place in the audience at Montreal City Hall.

As staff tried to evacuate the man, Mr Dagher approached him and repeated “it’s okay, it’s okay.”

The scene lasted for several minutes.

The citizen, visibly furious, was finally evacuated from the room and the press briefing by the new SPVM police chief was able to resume.
