It’s often said that love has no age, but it’s just as often said that as the years go by, that spark of the early days can be lost. Well, an elderly couple immortalized in a video on the beach that went viral clearly demonstrates that not only is the first statement true, but that the second – at least in their case – is as far from reality as possible.
The user of TikTok @andreaa_retess shared a video on his account in which the protagonists are a man and a woman over the years, but only as regards a purely personal data.
Looking at them, as they chase each other and splash water on the shoreline on the beach, they look like two little boys. The user shared the clip with the caption: “Couples who keep their promise until death do us part.”
The video, which lasts less than 20 seconds, managed to move millions of people. On TikTok alone, it achieved 36 million views, but it was also shared by X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. Many comments, all full of love and admiration: «Seeing this has given me 100 years of life. What a beautiful thing», «I wish I could see my parents so old», «Love is the only thing that really matters in this life. The rest is ephemeral and fleeting», «I see it and I need handkerchiefs to dry my tears».
