Defender Tuta is fit again and, according to coach Oliver Glasner, an option for the starting XI. Another defender is missing injured.

Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt climbed to second place in the Bundesliga table after the 3-0 home win, making him the first Bayern hunter. “I remembered that Martin Hinteregger has a hunting license. That’s why I got a few tips from him on how best to behave as a hunter. But they stay between us,” comments the coach Oliver Glasner at the press conference with humor.

Eintracht Frankfurt visiting SC Freiburg

The away game in Freiburg is the end of the fun, because Eintracht Frankfurt wants to win the next game in Breisgau. It won’t be easy, even if Christian Streich’s team messed up the start of the competitive game in 2023 with 0: 6 in Wolfsburg. “SC Freiburg has a very good team that has grown together and represents a lot of continuity. Christian Streich, as the most experienced Bundesliga coach, won’t let the 6-0 loss to Wolfsburg deter him from his path,” said Glasner, showing great respect for the upcoming opponent.

A defender will not be available to Eintracht Frankfurt on the 17th matchday and will be out, as will Ebimbe, who has already undergone surgery. “Luca Pellegrini is still having calf problems, he will be absent. Otherwise, with the exception of Junior Dina Ebimbe, everyone who was there on Saturday is fit for action,” confirmed Glaser. “Tuta has been in training since Friday, is in top form and a candidate for the starting XI,” continued the SGE coach.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Kolo Muani and Tuta are fit

The ailing Randal Kolo Muani will also be available, as Glasner said at the press conference on Tuesday (January 24): “He wasn’t feeling well and didn’t train until Monday. But today he was back in training and is in great shape for Freiburg.” Makoto Hasebe, who was injured for a long time, is not yet a candidate for the starting eleven, but Glasner will give him playing times in the next few weeks: “Makoto Hasebe played his last competitive game in Tottenham and was injured three months later. We are constantly in contact and he will definitely come back to his assignments.”

Meanwhile they decide Bank employees Aurelio Buta and Rafael Borré the game against Schalke 04 and are examples of the team spirit at Eintracht Frankfurt. (smr)
