Egypt defeats Sudan 1-0 and officially qualifies for the round of 16 in the African Nations

Egypt qualified for the round of 16 of the African Nations Championship currently being held in Cameroon, after beating Sudan with a clean goal scored by Mohamed Abdel Moneim in the match that brought them together this evening, to raise the national team’s score to 6 points.

The Egyptian team started the match with a formation that includes Mohamed El-Shennawy in goalkeeping, Omar Kamal, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Ahmed Hegazy and Ayman Ashraf in defense, Mohamed Elneny, Amr Al-Sulayya and Abdullah El-Saeed in the middle, and Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush and Mustafa Mohamed in the attack.

The start of the match came fast and enthusiastic from both sides, and Mohamed Elneny almost scored the first goal for the Pharaohs in the second minute of the match, taking advantage of an attack by the Pharaohs, while the response came quickly in the 4th minute by the Hawks Al-Jedyan from a counterattack by the Sudan striker outside Mohamed El-Shennawy’s goal.

The striker, Mustafa Mohamed, also missed an opportunity to score the first goal of the Pharaohs after heading the ball to pass outside the Sudanese goal in the 5th minute. The players of the team continue to press through Mohamed Salah, Abdullah Al-Saeed and Marmoush in an attempt to shake the Sudanese net.

Play was confined to the center of the field after the 15 minutes of the match, and the Egyptian team controlled the ball without real danger to the Sudanese goal, as the Jedi Hawks shrank in the middle of their stadium to close the spaces in front of the Pharaohs.

And in the 25th minute, Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed surprised everyone with a powerful shot in the direction of Sudan’s goal, but it hit one of the team’s defenders and passed outside the field, and the referee awarded a corner kick to the Egyptian team, and in the 27th minute Ayman Ashraf tried to score the first goal, but the Sudanese goalkeeper shined and kept his net clean.

And in the 33rd minute, Mohamed Al-Mustafa, the goalkeeper of Sudan, shines and saves a certain goal from the head of the Pharaohs striker, Mustafa Mohamed, who puts him in the right corner, but the goalkeeper saves his goal brilliantly.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim managed to score the first goal of the Pharaohs in the 35th minute of the match, from a corner kick taken by Abdullah Al-Saeed, which was received by Mohamed Abdel Moneim with an elaborate header that put the ball into the net, so that the Pharaohs advanced with the first goal, and after the goal the Egyptian team continued to press and Mohamed Salah almost scored the goal The second in the 43rd minute, but the Sudanese goalkeeper prevented him, and the first half ended with Egypt advancing with a clean goal.

With the beginning of the second half, the Sudanese team made 3 changes to activate the performance in front of the Pharaohs and try to score the goal of the amendment quickly, and the 51st minute witnessed a corner kick for Sudan to the right of the Egyptian team’s goal, which was carried out with a cross into the penalty area and directly reached goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy.

In the 52nd minute, Amr Al-Sulayya hit a dangerous shot that hit one of the Sudanese defenders and passed next to the left post of the goal, and Queirush pushed the first change for the Pharaohs in the 57th minute, when Ahmed Sayed Zizou went down instead of Abdullah Al-Saeed, and Queirush pushed in the 66th minute Mahmoud Trezeguet instead of Omar Marmoush.

The 71st minute witnessed a corner kick for the Egyptian team to the left of the Sudan goal, which was carried out by Mohamed Salah with a cross into the penalty area, which goalkeeper Ali Abu 202 easily removed to the center of the field.

In the 84th minute, Queiroz pushed the duo, Hamdi Fathi and Marwan Hamdy, at the expense of Amr Al-Sulayya and Mustafa Mohamed.
