Erfurt (dpa / th) – At the beginning of the new school year, according to the Thuringian Ministry of Education, there is an increased volume of threatening letters against teachers and schools. The threats come from Reich citizens and opponents of the Corona measures, among others, said a spokesman on Friday at the request of the German press agency. They were directed against the obligation to test and the obligation to wear a mask. It is not a nationwide phenomenon, but still individual cases, emphasized the spokesman. But there are more threats and special incidents than usual. “We have signaled to the schools that they should not be impressed by them.”
Education Minister Helmut Holter (Linke) was of the opinion that everyone could express their opinion, but that it should not be addressed to schools or teachers, but to the ministry.
In Saxony it became known on Friday that some school principals and teachers were confronted with threats because of planned voluntary vaccination offers in schools.
