The Belgian federation has confirmed that Eden Hazard has left the concentration of the Belgian national team in Turin to head for Madrid after suffering a muscular overload during the Nations League semi-final match against France yesterday.
The Madrid player requested the change in the second half and although the medical services ruled out the muscle break, the player returns to the capital of Spain to undergo further tests and begin his recovery. The attacker is doubtful for the Champions League match against Shakhtar on October 19 and for the Camp Nou league classic on October 24.
Since yesterday, the medical services of the Belgian federation and Real Madrid have been in permanent contact about Eden Hazard’s new ailment, definitively ruled out for the third and fourth place match in the Nations League against Italy.
Hazard is scheduled to land late in the afternoon in Madrid and could undergo further tests tomorrow to find out the exact extent of the injury.
