Two inhabitants of Duneau, Marie-Claire Rutard and Yannick Chantepie will participate in their second Renault Raid, from October 3 to 15 in Morocco.
The Renault Raid is an event which aims to bring together the Renault vehicles registered before 2005 with two or four-wheel drive. “The adventure also has a humanitarian goal,” explains Marie-Claire, “We are currently collecting financial donations, clothing, school and medical equipment to help local populations. “
For this event, “Any notion of racing is excluded, in order to create a friendly atmosphere between the participants and promote exchanges with the inhabitants crossed on the road. However, we will need a finesse of piloting and notions of orientation to overcome the tracks and dunes. “
The couple therefore formed the Misty Raid team and took part in the raid aboard a Renault Mégane coupé from 1997. “We bought and modified it for our first participation, in 2019. It is above all an extraordinary adventure, against a backdrop of sumptuous landscapes and often embellished with unforeseen mechanical and sand removal sessions. “

The couple will make a presentation of the team on Saturday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Café de la place, one of the sponsors, in Saint-Mars-la-Brière. “Other crews will also be present, as well as a 4×4 from the organizer. Of course, locals are welcome to chat with us. “
