Drake is in the top ten of the US singles charts with nine songs

Drake’s album CERTIFIED LOVER BOY was released on September 3rd. The first week of sales for the album was already the most successful of the whole year in the USA. Now the single charts top everything again.

A total of nine songs from the CERTIFIED LOVER BOY album landed in the top ten of the US singles charts, with Drake occupying the first five places exclusively. The tour does “Way 2 Sexy” with Drake and Young Thug, followed by “Girls Want Girls” with Lil Baby, then “Fair Trade” with Travis Scott, “Champagne Poetry” is in fourth place and “Knife Talk” has fifth Reached place.

The only song that is not by Drake and thus prevents Drake’s complete takeover of the charts is “Stay” by Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI. With this, Drake breaks all past records, including his own. From the album SCORPION in 2018, seven songs made it into the top ten of the US charts, breaking an existing Beatles record.

Record breaker

In the past, four albums with seven singles made it into the top ten, including Michael Jackson’s THRILLER and Bruce Springsteen’s BORN IN THE USA. So Drake leaves everyone behind with nine songs.

But that’s not all: even if he couldn’t completely conquer the Billboard Top Ten, he made it on the streaming song charts. There Drake takes everything up to 14th place.

Drake’s CERTIFIED LOVER BOY was originally planned for 2020 but was then postponed to January 2021. After knee surgery, he moved the album to be released again in the summer of 2021.
