Binh Duong gives train and bus tickets to workers to return home for Tet
Like every year, this year’s spring train ticket program is prioritized by trade unions at all levels in Binh Duong to support workers who have not been able to return home for many years, people in difficult circumstances, and cases of labor accidents. , occupational diseases or creative workers.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran – Vice President of the Confederation of Labor of Binh Duong province said that this year, the Federation will donate 1,000 spring train tickets to workers in the Northern provinces.

Trade unions at all levels will also use part of the funds to take care of Tet for union members and workers to support spring bus tickets for workers in closer provinces such as the Central, Western and Central Highlands.
According to the leader of the Binh Duong Confederation of Labor, the number of workers who are supported with spring bus tickets is currently making a list and organizing bidding to bring the workers back to their hometowns on schedule. It is expected that thousands of spring bus tickets will be provided by trade unions at all levels in the province to support workers returning home to celebrate Tet.
During Lunar New Year 2023, the Spring Train of Gratitude Program organized by the Binh Duong Provincial Labor Federation donated more than 5,000 train tickets to workers returning home.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, a native of Ca Mau and working as a worker in Thuan An City, said that this year she did not return to her hometown but stayed to celebrate Tet in Binh Duong.
According to Ms. Binh, this year’s form of distributing train and bus tickets is reasonable. Last year, funding from the union focused heavily on train tickets.
“Taking the train is suitable for people in remote provinces. There are many workers near or in the Western provinces who need bus tickets more,” Ms. Binh said.

Mr. Tran Van Hoat – Chairman of the Trade Union of Astro Engineering Vietnam Company (Thu Dau Mot City), said that at the beginning of the year the company had 3,200 workers. The production and business situation is difficult, from July until now, 400 workers have quit their jobs.
This year, many workers will return home earlier than the expected schedule organized by the Labor Union. Many people actively choose to take personal vehicles, so few people register for spring train tickets.
According to Mr. Doan Nam Le Thien – Vice Chairman of the Confederation of Labor of Di An City, after two reviews, the Confederation of Labor of Di An City has transferred the list of more than 400 union members and workers who were given spring train tickets.
Di An City had about 100 people given bus tickets. “Many workers in nearby provinces actively ride motorbikes back home to celebrate Tet, so there is not much demand,” Mr. Thien said.
According to the province’s Confederation of Labor, during the 2024 Lunar New Year, there will be 420,000-450,000 workers staying in Binh Duong to celebrate Tet.
