Donald Trump also meets racist Nick Fuentes at a dinner with rapper Kanye West.

Washington/Frankfurt – No sooner has former US President Donald Trump declared his candidacy for the White House than he is making a name for himself with dodgy dinner guests. Last Tuesday (November 22) he met none other than rapper Kanye West for dinner at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida estate. But there was also another guest with the party – and he has it all: Nick Fuentes is known as a racist, anti-Semite and Holocaust denier known.

He did not know Fuentes, Trump wrote on Friday (November 25) on the platform he co-founded Truth Social like an apology. According to reports, West, who now calls himself Ye, brought the 24-year-old with him.

Donald Trump wants to go back to the White House

The 76-year-old Trump declared a week ago that he wanted to run again for the Republicans as a presidential candidate in 2024. West (45) had already indicated in 2020 that he wanted to run again in the 2024 vote. Most recently, he posted videos on Twitter with the words “Ye 24”. The rapper was once one of the few stars to publicly speak out for Trump. Because of anti-Semitic statements, the sporting goods manufacturer Adidas terminated its cooperation with him.

West posted a video on Twitter after the dinner, claiming Trump was “impressed” by Fuentes, who the anti-racism organization Anti-Defamation League has dubbed a “white supremacist.” “White supremacy” describes the ideology of white supremacy.

The online event organizer also opposes women’s rights and discriminates against the LGBTQI community. The English abbreviation stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans people, queer and intersex people.

Did Trump know who Fuentes is?

Trump did not deny the participation of Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes at the meal – but did not explicitly confirm it either. West called him about dinner, he wrote Truth Social. “Shortly after, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends I didn’t know about.”

Kanye West wants to be Donald Trump’s vice president in the 2024 US election: The rapper expressed interest in the vice post if Trump were to become president again – Trump himself feels “very honored.”

The news portal Axios wrote, citing an unnamed source, that Trump seemed “very pleased” with Fuentes at the dinner. The two talked about the presidential election, among other things. “To be honest, I don’t think the President knew who the hell (Fuentes) was,” he was quoted as saying Axios the source. The transmitter CNN also reported, citing a source familiar with the dinner, that Fuentes was a guest of West and was not invited by Trump. (cas/dpa)
