Do not take lightly, the importance of treatment for chronic diseases

VIVAChronic disease or commonly called chronic disease refers to the condition of human health problems that last for a long time. Chronic disease is triggered by various things and mostly triggered by a sedentary lifestyle (sedentary lifestyle).

A sedentary lifestyle is a habit in the life of a person who does not do much physical activity or does not do much movement. For example, lack of exercise, lying down while doing other activities, sitting too long, and so on.

The emergence of chronic disease can occur suddenly, without realizing it, and will get worse over time. This is different from an acute illness, where a person suffers from an illness in a relatively short time, which is less than 6 months.

There are several types of chronic diseases that are all around us, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, chronic kidney failure, cancer, and many more. Chronic disease will of course change the life of the diagnosed individual because it will affect all aspects of his life.

Usually people with chronic diseases take a long time to treat. Some chronic diseases are also unlikely to be completely cured.

Citing data from the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) by the Ministry of Health, Indonesia has experienced an increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases and is the highest cause of death every year, one of which is chronic disease.
