GenPI.co East Java – Cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) appeared in the city of Surabaya and attacked 15 children.
One child reportedly died after receiving treatment for dengue fever.
Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, explained that one of the children who died had indeed undergone hospital treatment for dengue fever.

However, the patient has been declared cured and has received permission to return home.
“After leaving (from the hospital) and returning home he died. Therefore, the information at the hospital was not dengue but an infectious disease,” said Eri, Wednesday (26/1).

Eri confirmed that he had taken a number of steps to eradicate the aedes aegypti mosquito. One of them is through fumigation or fogging.
“That’s why we do fogging with a radius of how many meters,” he explained.

He added that his party would again intensify the handling steps to prevent the increase in the number of dengue fever in the City of Heroes.
