Darmstadt – A big SV Darmstadt 98 has wrested the table leadership in the 2nd Bundesliga from FC St. Pauli. Hamburg had to give up first place after the 0: 4 (0: 4) in Hesse for the first time since the 9th matchday, but still have a catch-up game to play.

Luca Pfeiffer with a brace (39th minute, 41st) as well as Phillip Tietz (6th) and Braydon Manu (29th) scored the goals in the sold-out stadium at Böllenfalltor with 13,000 spectators. The guests, who could never win ten games in Darmstadt, went as losers for the first time after four games and ten points.

The lilies got off to a great start and took the lead with their first attack thanks to a shot from Tietz. Subsequently, the Südhessen were better in the game and increased after almost half an hour with a shot from Manu into the near corner. The hamburgers now had nothing to counter the offensive force of the hosts.

Shortly before half-time, Pfeiffer made the preliminary decision with a double strike: First he maneuvered the ball with the tip of his foot over the line. Then he headed to the spot after goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj let the ball ricochet forward.
