As of Tuesday, 342 new cases were reported in the province, in addition to four new deaths.

Hospitalizations are down slightly, with six fewer people compared to Monday. The same goes for intensive care, where six people entered and eight left.

Vaccination in the province continues, as 6,258 doses have been inoculated in the past 24 hours.

Across the Ottawa River, Ontario also saw a drop in its daily infections on Tuesday, with 328. The province is also reporting four new deaths.

In the Maritimes, restrictive measures in New Brunswick appear to be taking effect, as the province reports 50 new cases of COVID-19, a decrease in half from last week. Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island also updated their records, with 12 and three, respectively.

In the Prairies, the drop in cases seems noticeable, even in the most affected provinces. Alberta recorded 531 new infections and 12 new deaths, compared to 271 new infections and eight deaths for Saskatchewan. Manitoba also updated its record, with 102 new infections and three new deaths.

British Columbia, for its part, has recorded 560 new cases of COVID-19 and five additional deaths.

The territories of Canada’s North have also updated their results. The Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut added 18, nine and three cases, respectively.
