Corona vaccination: the quick way to the green pass

October 15, the date on which the green pass requirement will take effect in the workplace, is approaching. The medical company continues to work to make vaccination as easy as possible for South Tyroleans.

The General Director of the South Tyrolean Sanitary Company, Florian Zerzer emphasizes that “the corona vaccination is on the one hand the most convenient way to receive the Green Pass, which will be mandatory for all employees from October 15th. On the other hand, it is also the most effective method to put an end to this pandemic. If we look at the hospitalization rate, it becomes evident that the vaccinations are working very well. Severe disease courses currently only affect people who have not been vaccinated. ”

10,450 people can be vaccinated within a week

In the course of the past week, a total of 10,450 people took advantage of one of the various vaccinations offered by the medical company. In South Tyrol, a total of 671,297 vaccinations against the coronavirus have now been made, so 10,450 vaccinations have been added since last Friday. 344,339 people are considered fully immunized as of October 7th, which is 64.4% of the total population or 73.4% of the vaccinable population in the country.

In the period from September 30th to October 7th, 5,647 first doses were inoculated. 363,840 people, that is 68% of the total population or 77.5% of the vaccinable population, have received at least one vaccine dose so far. Since last week, 1,177 vaccine doses have also been given as a booster. As already announced, from now on people over 80 years of age and people at risk of health will be offered a booster vaccination in order to continue to protect these risk groups effectively against a Covid infection.

Provincial Councilor Thomas Widmann points out that the vaccination numbers have to be even higher in view of the approaching winter: “We are at the beginning of the colder season, in which the virus is known to have an easier time. In addition, we are all increasingly indoors again, where the majority of infections take place. If the virus hits people who have been vaccinated, it prevents it from spreading. Therefore, it remains a priority to further increase the vaccination rate with diverse and attractive vaccination offers and to avoid further restrictions in winter as much as possible ”.

Vaccination convenient and uncomplicated

With this in mind, the medical supply company offers numerous options for collecting the vaccination as conveniently and easily as possible. On Saturday, October 9th, the two vaccination buses will stop in Chienes and St. Leonhard in Passeier, on Monday, October 11th, Terenten and Ortisei will be headed for. Tomorrow, Saturday, October 9th, it will again be possible to combine a shopping tour in the Twenty shopping center in Bolzano with the corona vaccination.
