Barcelona he insisted on the request before him Emergency Operations Committee (COE) National to have an audience in their parties. This time, the club proposed to have 30% of the capacity of the Monumental stadium, for the game against Flamengo, for the semifinal of the Copa Libertadores, this September 29, 2021.
The yellow ones delivered the official request to the national authorities. The president of the National COE, Juan Zapata, confirmed to El Comercio newspaper that the meeting to analyze the issue will be held on September 17.
That day the Technical Board of the National COE will meet, at the facilities of the Ecu911 from Samborondón, from 12:30. Representatives of Barcelona and the Mayor’s Office of Guayaquil will also participate in the meeting.
It is the third order presented by the Buenos Aires painting, to have an audience at the Monumental stadium. The previous two were denied by the COE, because Guayaquil was going through a state of exception, due to the pandemic of the covid-19, as it is no longer in force.
As a precedent, the national body has already approved the organization of two matches of the Ecuadorian team, for the qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022 -against Paraguay and Chile– with reduced capacity, at the Rodrigo Paz stadium in Quito.
