The National Committee for Emergency Situations has adopted a decision proposing to extend the state of alert by 30 days, starting with Tuesday, April 13.
What does the decision adopted by CNSU provide:
Art.1 – It is proposed to extend the state of alert throughout the national territory, for a period of 30 days, starting with 13.04.2021.
Art.2 – The measures for prevention and control of infections generated by the SARSCoV-2 virus, necessary to be adopted starting with 13.04.2021, in the current epidemiological context, are provided in annex no.1.
Art.3 – The list of countries / areas / territories of high epidemiological risk for which the quarantine measure is established on the persons arriving in Romania from them, provided in annex no. 2.
Art.4 – Annex to Decision no. 9 of 11.02.2021 of the National Committee for Emergency Situations, amended by Decision no. 21 of 02.04.2021, is amended and replaced by the list provided in annex no. 2.
Art.5 – This decision is communicated to all components of the National Emergency Management System, for implementation by order and administrative acts of their leaders.
CNSU proposed that on the night of the Resurrection, the traffic be extended until 5 in the morning, so that people can go to work. Also, CNSU proposed the extension of the stores’ schedule until 20:00 on Good Friday, on April 3, in all localities, regardless of the epidemiological situation.
The prime minister announced on Thursday that he will propose to the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) that on Resurrection night traffic will be allowed until 5:00, and the shops will remain open until 20:00 on Good Friday.
Also, the seaside resorts would be opened for Easter and May 1, at a capacity of 70%.
On Wednesday, at the end of the Government meeting, the Prime Minister announced that the measures for the resurrection night could be modified.
“Tomorrow is the decision, the decision of the Government, to extend the state of alert. In the previous decision, you know very well that it was until 2.00 in the morning. We will see for tomorrow if something changes or not, at this moment we have not made a decision, we will make a decision tomorrow “, said Florin Cîţu, asked at the end of the Government meeting what the authorities will do about the Orthodox Church’s request as restrictions traffic to be picked up on the night of the Resurrection, according to News.ro.
According to the CNSU decision approved by the Government on March 25, the movement of persons between 20.00 and 02.00 is allowed to participate in the religious services on the Resurrection Night. The same measure was applied for Catholic Easter and Passover.
