Chelsea will meet Manchester City in the final match of the Champions League this season. The Blues from London reached the match for the trophy after beating “Real” (Madrid) at their “Stamford Bridge” with 2: 0 and a total score of 3: 1.

Thomas Tuchel’s team made a very strong match, totally outplaying their opponent.

Goals for the Blues were scored by Timo Werner in the 28th minute and Mason Mount in the 85th minute.

The final of the tournament is on May 29 in Istanbul. This will be the second case in the last three seasons in which two English teams will argue for the trophy, as in 2018-19 “Liverpool” beat “Tottenham”.

The Blues from London will play in the final for the third time in their history, losing in 2008 and triumphing in 2012 with the most valuable European award. Meanwhile, coach Thomas Tuchel, who took over at Chelsea earlier this year, has qualified for the final for the second year in a row. Before 2020, the German led PSG to the final match.

In the opening minutes, “Real” tried to impose more lasting control and keep the ball. The Spanish squad did not allow Chelsea to press him, but after the 10th minute they started to lose the ball around the middle of the field.

The hosts organized several counterattacks, and in the 18th minute Werner scored a goal, which was canceled due to an ambush.

“Real” responded with dangerous shots, and this forced the goalkeeper of the blue Mandy to intervene. He made spectacular saves against Karim Benzema, once with a kick with his right foot and once with a header.

In the 28th minute after a quick attack through the center, passed through Ngolo Cante, Haverz and Werner, the latter scored a goal. Havertz got out of speed, effectively passed Thibaut Courtois, but the ball hit the crossbar. In front of the goal line, Werner had no problem signing with his head.

By the end of the first half, “Real” failed to overcome Mendy, as “Chelsea” withdrew with a goal lead.

The second half started with a new excellent chance for the hosts and a new beam. Haverz intercepted a cross from the right, but his header stopped in the crossbar.

Unlike the first half, the Blues left almost no space for Real, and their positions led to dangers in front of Thibaut Courtois. In the 53rd minute Mount rushed into the penalty area at speed alone against the goalkeeper, but his shot went over the goal.

Just six minutes later, Courtois saved Real’s chances with an excellent save against Haverz.

As the last minutes approached, Real took greater risks to look for a goal that would at least ensure a sequel. However, this opened up more space in the field for guests.

At the same time, “Real” never managed to reach a clear position in front of the English, and Mandy did not have to intervene.

In the 85th minute after another ball taken from Cante, Chelsea reached the second goal. Reserve Pulisic reached the outline and found Mount from a small corner, which was scored.
