Great responsibility in the disreputable neighborhood
Heidi Fuhrer has chaired the board of the Langenthal integration center Interunido since 2005. Now Subajini is supposed to bring new impulses to Kandiah.

This vision existed 20 years ago: a house for the promotion and education of adults in the middle of the quarter. At that time, the members of the newly founded Interunido specialist and educational center settled at Thunstettenstrasse 40. In a place that was considered disreputable and problematic because of its many people with a migration background in Langenthal. To this day, the quarter has not been able to shake this reputation.
In a three-year pilot project in the area of migration and integration, the office started with German courses and intercultural interpreting. Even back then, Interunido was sponsored by the Association for the Promotion of Education and Integration in Oberaargau. As a result, the offer was expanded, the city of Langenthal brought on board, as well as the cantonal education and culture department.
