At the stadium “Capital One Arena” in Washington (USA), another match of the regular season of the National Hockey League, in which the Washington Capitals hosted the Winnipeg Jets, ended. The main time of the match ended in a draw – 3:3. The hosts won in overtime.

The winning goal in overtime was scored by the Canadian striker of “Washington” Tom Wilson, and was assisted by a Russian Evgeny Kuznetsov, who beat the Winnipeg defender and gave the partner a pass from behind the gate.

The Capitals scored their first goal of the game Alexander Ovechkin. The Russian striker took a clear first place in the sniper and scorer races of the NHL season – now Alexander has 55 (27 + 28) points. In second place is the Edmonton Oilers forward. Leon Draisaitl, which has 54 (26+28) points.
