Bruno Fernandes has added further fuel to speculation that he is ready to reach Manchester United with his latest activity on social media.
United are in talks with Sporting Lisbon for a £ 60 million transfer and the player is excited to switch to Old Trafford.
Fernandes’ agent, Rui Guimaraes, caused a sensation on Instagram on Tuesday, when he liked a post that called his client’s move to United “imminent”.
Guimaraes then put the WhoScored publishes a post on his story on Instagram, tagging Fernandes who replied quickly by adding it to his account.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add offensive quality to his team this month and United is ready to support its manager in the January window.
Ed Woodward is looking to conclude an agreement for Fernandes, which has been a long-term goal for United.
Despite positive talks, United and Sporting seem somewhat distant from Fernandes’ assessment, as the Portuguese club seeks a commission close to £ 60 million.
Fernandes has scored 15 times this season and is under contract with Sporting until 2023.
United believes Fernandes is worth £ 50 million and when asked about growing speculation about the director, Solskjaer refuses to comment on any move.
‘I have no transfer updates, so no,’ he said Tuesday.
‘If we get something we can tell you what we will do but I have no news right now.’
He added: “For me, the most important thing is that we get the results we want, that we get the performance on the pitch. This is my goal, that must be my goal.
‘But I know that I – or we – have the resources, we have the support if, for example, we have to go to the transfer market.
‘We are still up there [in the Deloitte money league]so we’re still in a good place. “
