Tonight the presentation of the annual Video Game Awards took place on the American TV channel SpikeTV. BioShock emerged as the big winner, taking home three awards for ‘Game of the Year’, ‘Best Xbox 360 Game’ and ‘Best Original Soundtrack’. Call of Duty 4 and The Orange Box both won two awards.
In previous years the awards at the Video Game Awards were somewhat debatable, this time there are few strange choices. At the most, the choice of certain categories, such as a distinction between individual and team sports, might play into the hands of a particular publisher.
