Riga is preparing for a new influx of refugees from Ukraine. Jānis Lange, the executive director of the city of Riga, admitted this in an interview with Latvijas Radio. He emphasized that, despite the fact that the government has not yet decided on support for refugees from next year, Riga will provide support to Ukrainians as much as necessary.

Currently, around 30 refugees from the war-torn country arrive in Latvia on average per day. As the number of refugees increases, the biggest problem in Riga will be finding a place for everyone to live.
