As of 6 PM, 1286 confirmed cases… same as last saturday

As of 6 p.m. on the 4th, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 was 1286. This is similar to the number recorded last Saturday.

According to the quarantine authorities and each local government, from 00:00 to 6pm on the same day, there were 1,286 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. This is 22 fewer than the 1,308 people counted until 6 pm on Saturday last week. Compared to the same time the day before (1494 people), 208 fewer people.

By city/province, 450 people in Seoul, 390 in Gyeonggi, 93 in Incheon, 66 in Chungnam, 50 in Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk 42, Busan 37, Daejeon 31, Gwangju and Ulsan 25 each, Daegu and Gangwon 18 each, Chungbuk 16, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk 9 each, and Jeju 7 each.

As there is still time until midnight, when the counting ends, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 00:00 on the 5th is expected to increase further, reaching around 1500, or at most around 1600. The previous day, the number of people increased by 310 after 6 pm, and the final number was 1804.

The 4th pandemic, which started in earnest in the metropolitan area at the beginning of last month, has recently spread to all parts of the non-metropolitan area, showing a nationwide trend. The number of confirmed cases per day has been in the four digits for 60 days in a row since July 7 (1211 people), and the 5th is the 61st day.
