Another 1149 people were confirmed infected with the new coronavir in Lithuania last day, but 26 people died from the disease caused by the new coronavirus Covid-19, the Statistics Department announced on Friday.
9842 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 11.7%. A total of 1,788,755 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 165,560 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the country and 100,495 people have been confirmed for recovery.
Covid-19 has claimed a total of 2376 lives in Lithuania.
Hospitals are currently treating 2008 Covid-19 patients. 147 of them are in intensive care units, 114 patients need artificial lung ventilation. Oxygen masks are used to treat 1155 patients.
According to the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on January 15 in Lithuania is 775.5.
5634 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania last day. A total of 38,026 people have been vaccinated in the country.
