With the purpose of meeting the needs —mainly of women— to have a space for health care and promote well-being in every sense of the word, Soul Women’s Spa was established in Hato Rey, created by the gynecologist and obstetrician Lianette Pérez.
However, this is not an ordinary spa, because it integrates conventional medicine with a beauty clinic, a beauty salon and a gym. The concept, environment and design were very well thought out to convey a feeling of extreme relaxation, in a space where harmony and serenity breathe, perfect to pamper the five senses.
Just weeks after its opening, the proposal that was originally conceptualized for women and pregnant women, has had an excellent acceptance, it even had to be adapted to also cater for men who accompany their wives or partners.
The careful attention of the employees added to the strict safety and hygiene protocols that are observed, strengthen the experience promoted by this particular spa, which also incorporates a private office for medical consultations with the doctor, and a gourmet coffee shop, which offers handcrafted delicacies are available to visitors to pamper the palate as well.
Among the many services available, they offer yoga classes and training with personalized services; relaxation massages, hot stone massages, therapeutic massages and reflexology, in comfortable cabins equipped with comfortable reclining stretchers, with mattress positions adjustable according to the needs of each person; facials using carefully selected products such as the exclusive Biologique Recherche line from France, and equipment for state-of-the-art aesthetic treatments and cutting-edge technology, to cleanse, deeply hydrate and regenerate the skin — painlessly —; sauna, hydrotherapy showers and a modern gym with the Technogym experience (a system for synchronized exercise with advanced technology).
To ensure greater protection, each cabin and each area of the spa has its own independent air unit, creating a safer environment.
“There was a need to bring all these services together, designed for both physical well-being and emotional well-being, and on the other hand, you also have the medical aspect. This is how we developed this concept that did not exist before in Puerto Rico. As a woman I understand the needs that we have and the need to maximize time. Here you can get all the services in one place, in a safe and pleasant environment “, explained Pérez in an interview with Metro, who a few years ago practiced robotic surgery with the Da Vinci Robot.
Regarding the competitive advantages of the business, personalized services for pregnant women stand out, such as yoga classes, prenatal classes, childbirth and breastfeeding, among other classes offered by specialized instructors.
On the other hand, the beauty salon has professional services for personal grooming and hair care treatments, as well as nail techniques for hands and feet.
“To develop the business idea, it was enough to think about myself and the needs I had. There was no place like this that combined several services. For example, you can take a yoga class, then get a massage, pedicure and manicure, and incidentally, make a medical consultation with the doctor ”, enthused Dr. Pérez.
“We are pleased that people feel that they had a different experience during their visit, and that they feel in peace and harmony, especially in these times of so many difficulties and fear of getting sick. When one feels good, well-being helps us fight diseases better ”, he pointed out.
If taking better care of your health and preventing illness is on your list of resolutions for 2021, consider wellness activities, some type of regular physical activity, better nutrition, and a positive mental attitude.
