Amazon Prime Video invests in Swedish original series | MovieZine

The streaming service Prime Video makes further investments in locally produced content and acquisitions in Sweden and the Nordic countries.

Today it is announced that the TV producer Karin Stjärne Lindström. with a background in Nordisk Film & TV and Emdemol, has been appointed Head of Originals Norden at Amazon Studios. Her new role includes the task of reviewing the teams responsible for developing and producing local Amazon Original series.

Andreas Hjertø has stepped into the position as Principal, Content Acquisition Norden for Prime Video. His assignment will include “identifying and securing the best local content for the Nordic audience” according to a press release.

The new roles will contribute to growing Prime Video’s Nordic audience by strengthening the existing range of films and TV series with local original series and acquired Nordic content.
