Amazon is rumored to be starting to sell its own TVs. “Alexa, I want to watch Amazon Prime Video on my Amazon TV”

Business Insider reports that Amazon plans to launch its own TVs in the US market, something that could happen as early as next month.

These will be 55 to 75 inch TVs developed by Amazon Devices and Lab126, Amazon’s development department that previously designed gadgets such as their Echo speakers and Kindle tablets. However, the TVs will be manufactured by third-party manufacturers such as TCL writes Business Insider.

Amazon’s own TVs will of course be equipped with Amazon’s smart assistant Alexa, which will have the ability to control much of the TV’s functionality via voice commands. The price range in which the TVs will land is not mentioned.

Last year, Amazon started selling TVs under its AmazonBasics brand in the Indian market. They are available in sizes 50 and 55 inches and you can see a picture of one above.
