A Tiktokeur arrested in Dubai for a satirical video on the United Arab Emirates

An influencer has been arrested in Dubai after uploading a video where he mocks UAE businessmen who spend a lot of money on luxury cars, the Spanish daily has reported. 20 minutes.

In a parody video, designer Hamdan Al Rind shows up at a car dealership wearing traditional country men’s clothing.

In the store, he then shouts surreal demands as people carry a pallet of cash behind him.

After this video, the man was arrested and accused of having “abused the internet” to publish “propaganda that harms the general interest”, according to the media.

According to the country’s federal justice, the recording – which has since been deleted – “promotes a false and offensive image of the people of the United Arab Emirates and ridicules them”.

No details were given on his arrest or on the sanction that the Tiktoker could receive, the daily said.

Hamdan Al Rind who posts as “CarExpert” is known for his videos about cars in Dubai. He has over 2 million followers on TikTok and one million on Instagram.
