A summer with Aretha, Elton, Pina and Stevie

The picture books in the internationally successful series “Little people, big dreams” tell the biographies of personalities from contemporary history in a way that is suitable for children. There is also a constantly growing selection of musician portraits to be discovered. Both performers from jazz, pop, soul or country as well as dancers and choreographers are presented.

Each volume is individually illustrated and conveys in short sentences, starting in childhood, what it means to dream “big”.

The book on Pina Bausch, the most important modern choreographer, is particularly recommended. An extraordinary dance career, which is vividly conveyed from the children’s ballet in Essen, to the studies in New York, to the direction of the Tanztheater Wuppertal, which achieved world fame. An inspiration to discover dance as a language.

A (pre-)reading material for the summer holidays that fits in every swimming bag!
