A rare video shows how elephants help a baby elephant overcome obstacles

Wildlife director Kim Woolhuther, 62, witnessed an interesting episode in the life of wild elephants during his trip to the Mashatu Sanctuary in Botswana.

Driving along the Magale River, Woolhuther saw a herd of elephants returning from the watering hole and up the cliff. Among the adult elephants there were several adolescents and one very small elephant calf who could not overcome the obstacle in any way.

As a result, he came to his aid elephant-matriarch, which pushed the baby with her tusks and trunk upward.

Woolhuter, who filmed everything that was happening on camera, noted that he had never seen anything like it, and therefore he considers this video a great success, writes Latest Sightings.
