Today, Thursday, the head of the Saudi Football Association, Yasser Al-Mishal, announced that the first women’s league will be launched in the Kingdom in the coming months.
“The first women’s league will be launched in Saudi Arabia in the coming months, to form the first women’s national team,” Yasser Al-Mishal said during the Saudi Football Association conference on the new transformation strategy, adding that “the coming period is scheduled to witness further development of women’s football, as Game development programs are designed for specific age groups.
It also developed and designed tracks dedicated to women in the fields of training and arbitration, in addition to launching a women’s league for teams.
The president of the federation revealed that their goal is to create a national team that will be among the top twenty teams in the FIFA rankings 2034, saying: “Our talented heroes who are currently studying in the sixth grade in the primary stage are the ones who will represent the Saudi team in the World Cup 2034 according to a plan prepared for that with permission. Allah”.
The ceremony was held to launch the transformation strategy in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, a number of club heads and sports personalities, in addition to French coach Herve Renard, the first Saudi national team coach.
