Investigators of the Leningrad Region opened a criminal case after infection of foreigners with a coronavirus in a dormitory in Vsevolozhsk district, reported on the website of the Investigative Department of the IC in the region.
The case was brought under Part 1 of Art. 236 of the Criminal Code (violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, resulting in negligence of a mass disease or poisoning of people, or creating the threat of such consequences).
On April 10, in the village of Novosergievka, employees of Rospotrebnadzor conducted an audit to prevent the spread of coronavirus in one of the residential buildings where foreign citizens lived. According to the results of the audit, several people were obliged to observe self-isolation. The legal entity in sublease, which has a residential building, was ordered to carry out sanitary and epidemiological measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
However, the employees of this legal entity did not take appropriate measures. According to investigators, this caused a coronavirus infection of other residents of the specified house.
