Officials of the Offenbach police station stopped a black VW Golf on Tuesday evening (7th) in the Rhönstrasse in Offenbach and seized 50 liters of fuel.

At around 11:20 p.m. the law enforcement officers noticed the Golf with the EM license plate, as both taillights were obviously defective. There were three men in the car between the ages of 23 and 29. The officers also found two canisters with fuel and pumping utensils in the VW. The police suspect that the fuel was pumped out of parked trucks or from a self-propelled machine on a construction site and stolen. The noticeably dirty shoes of the occupants could be an indication of the construction site.

For the police measures, the officers took the men to the office. Before being released, the 23-year-old driver, who does not have a permanent residence in Germany, had to deposit a security deposit of 400 euros.

The investigators ask: Where has a corresponding act been committed and has not yet been reported? Witnesses who have previously observed the Gulf are also wanted. The Kripo receives information on 069 / 8098-1234.
