The Montpellier Criminal Court (Hérault) sentenced a 22-year-old young man to 15 months in prison, and the cancellation of his driving license for two years, after a new urban rodeo, on November 13, in Poussan .
That day, a dozen individuals were traveling with cross-country motorcycles and quads, performing “wheelies”, rear wheels, on the road, indicates the Montpellier prosecutor’s office, which evokes a “particularly significant decision in the framework of the fight against motorized rodeos”. The offenders then showed a “hostile attitude” towards a policeman, alone in his vehicle, who had noted their presence. Five of them surrounded her car, and threatened her.
When reinforcements arrived, they fled, refusing to comply. A chase ensued, during which the offenders multiplied traffic violations. One of the drivers was eventually arrested and taken into custody.
