She was only five years old when Annabel Schasching from St. Aegidi (Schrding district) had stolen the ball from many a stronger boy. Dolls were never her “thing”, “I preferred to play football with my dad in the garden,” says the 19-year-old. He recognized her talent early on and encouraged his daughter accordingly. In the U8, trained by Papa Christian, Annabel was the first girl to lace up her soccer shoes for St. Aegidi.
