Since we are in the middle of the summer slump, there is little to do at the moment. No games come out, no movies come out and anyway we could spend the time lying in our beach villa in the Maldives. Yes. Could we. Or we face the truth and just forget there ever was such a thing as a summer slump. Because today is almost one of the busiest days of the year (certainly, the 26.09.23 has it all).
Some exciting titles will be released on July 20th, 2023, the Barbie film will also be doing the honors and some other things are still in the starting blocks this month. So it’s time to take a look not only at today, but also at what else is happening this month. But first: curtain up on the games that will be released today.

Frank and Drake – Or: When two literary greats collide
Just imagine that Frankenstein’s monster and Count Dracula live together in a flat share. The monster, Frank, has lost all memories and is trying to get them back. While Count Dracula, Drake, arrives at blood bags at night. In Frank and Drake, an exciting adventure game with an interesting graphic style, you try to solve the mysteries surrounding the two. Solve various puzzles and try your hand at mini-games to help these mismatched flatmates.
Frank and Drake out today for PC, Nintendo Switch (slightly delayed for EU and Australia), PlayStation and Xbox.
Lakeburg Legacy – Date your next door neighbor

Fancy a different city building game? Lakeburg Legacy offers you the opportunity to try your magic Cupid’s touch and bring different characters together to ensure the survival of your village. Find the right parents to create the workers of tomorrow, so to speak. With a really cute and appropriate graphic style, this city building simulation comes along with a charm all of its own. Decide for yourself which character is suitable for which task and find the person who is suitable to become king or queen of your kingdom. Dating and city building in one.
Lakeburg Legacy will be released today for the PC on Steam.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Definitive Edition

Originally developed by Capybara Games Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes will receive a Definitive Edition complete with DLC, remastered character portraits, and an expanded, fully remastered and rebalanced online mode. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is a unique blend of puzzle, strategy, and RPG: plan each of your moves and combine your attacks to defeat your enemies in matching-puzzle inspired combat scenarios, upgrade your heroes and creatures to unleash ever more devastating attacks on your opponents, and let the strategic thinker in you lead your troops to victory.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes out today for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation.
The Wandering Village – Onbu Feeding on Xbox

The Wandering Village has been in Early Access on Steam for a few months and is now finding its way to the Xbox – right into Game Pass. From today you can also prove on your console that you know how to let your people survive and, incidentally, enter into the symbiosis with your Onbu, which carries your people through the dying lands. The Wandering Village is a mesmerizing game that leaves you in a poisoned environment where survival is only ensured if you take care of your gigantic dinosaur while keeping your people happy. Definitely a recommendation from us, because the complex game was a lot of fun on the PC.
The Wandering Village is already available on Steam and now also for the Xbox.
The Spirit and the Mouse – Lila’s Adventures on PlayStation

There are adventures that are so big that they have to be on a big console. And then there are adventures in which little mice play the leading roles – and they have to go to other platforms anyway! The Spirit and the Mouse will be released again today, both for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. So far, the title was only available for the PC and the Nintendo Switch, now Lila, the Protamouse, is also experiencing her adventure on Sony’s consoles and not only comes with a squeaky button, but also with new features. I would like The Spirit and the Mouse on the Switch and can’t wait to experience the adventure with Lila on the PlayStation 5.
appears today The Spirit and the Mouse for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. The title is already available on the PC and the Nintendo Switch.
Sea of Thieves und Monkey Island
While this adventure isn’t standalone, it’s still out today: Sea of Thieves, Microsoft’s long-running pirate multiplayer game, is getting an expansion that was long overdue as Guybrush Threepwood makes its way into the realms. Get ready for exciting adventures on Monkey Island, meet familiar characters, face dangerous opponents and insult them with the worst thing you have. “You fight like a cow!” won’t be the most harmless thing you’ll encounter. All fans of Sea of Thieves and Monkey Island will definitely get their money’s worth here.
Diablo IV and the Season of Malevolence

Yes, even the nasty Blizzard game, which no one actually plays anymore and whose servers should have been shut down a long time ago, ends up in this article today. Diablo IV is pleased today that the first season of the game is about to start. The motto “season of evil” does not mean how evil the company is. It’s about the corruption that has halted Sanctuary, it’s about new bosses just waiting to be slaughtered, and it’s about loot. if you Diablo IV owns, you’ll need a Battle Pass to defeat the corruption. We wish you lots of success and happy slaughtering.

I started my gaming career with Pokemon Blue, red was my favorite color back then, but this dragon was really scary. When I’m not playing or writing about games, I spend a lot of time at work, reading a lot of English children’s books or regularly in the kitchen to prepare delicacies for my team or my husband.
